The Race day at Market Rasen on Sunday 5th July was a fitting climax to a  month of fundraising for the Branch - 40 members and friends attending the meeting sponsored by Don Noble, the Lincolnshire Bookmakers.  The weather was perfect and racegoers were in a generous mood. In  a short time at the end of the meeting we raised a staggering  £904! Our thanks to Richard Noble and his partner Dee for nominating us as their chosen charity, and also to the racecourse staff who made our visit so enjoyable.

During  awareness week in June we had collection days at Tesco stores  across the county and  thanks to a lot of hard work by our collection teams, we raised  over £2000. The Grantham Inner Wheel  raised a further  £1600, so our finances are in a healthy state to provide extra care and assistance to MND patients and carers across the county.

On Friday 21st August 36 members and friends of the Lincolnshire Branch visited Sandringham.  Departing from Boston at 1130 in a specially adapted coach, we arrived at 1245 where we were met by other members of our group.   The weather was good  and we all  visited the house and gardens before sitting down for a superb cream tea in the restaurant.  We arrived back at 6.00pm  having enjoyed a wonderful day out.  Thanks to Liz Anderson for all her hard work in arranging the outing!
