Karl McCartney JP MP was elected as the member of parliament for Lincoln in the May 2010 elections.  He has very kindly agreed  be our branch patron which will help us in our task to raise awareness of MND in the County.  Karl spoke about his experiences as a new MP at Westminster  at our February meet and greet meeting at St Barnabas day Centre in Lincoln.  Karl lives with his family in Lincoln and working with Conservative Councillors on the City Council and County Council, has pledged to continue to Put Lincoln First and ensure he listens to the people of Lincoln. Karl continues to campaign across the whole constituency

24 hour kayaking challenge raises £3400

On 22nd October kayaking team members and friends of Adie Hickling -  Lee McHugh, Dan Atkin, Shane Harrison, Gary Martin, Jake Marshall, Cara Amber, Rob Watkins set out to complete a 24 hour kayaking marathon at the Lincoln boating centre. 8 kayakers between them kept  4 boats moving on the lake for 24 hours,   paddling close to a distance of 1000km . Each kayaker paddled for a total of 12 hours in chilly and wet conditions to raise funds for the Lincolnshire branch.  They raised the magnificent sum of £3400. Click here for more album pictures
