Lincolnshire Branch
The MND Association
The Lincolnshire Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association has the sole aim of serving all those people in the area affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND). This includes people with MND, their carers, family and friends.
We also liaise with health and social care professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists and the medical profession.
Our Branch holds regular Branch and support meetings in Lincoln and Boston for people living with MND, their carers and families. We have a newsletter which is distributed quarterly to all our members.
Fundraising and raising awareness are also very important aspects of Branch activities, and we are organising several events throughout the year. The Lincolnshire Branch is completely run by volunteers. We are always interested in hearing from people who can help with the events or who would like to help us.

Carl McCartney MP for Lincoln and Patron of the Lincolnshire Branch was successful in a House of Commons draw entered by hundreds of members to stage an exhibition at Westminster in November. He chose Motor Neurone Disease as his charity and the Association were invited to stage an exhibition of Patrick the Optimist’s portraits. Through his portraits, Patrick put the spotlight on many unsung heros each dedicated to doing everything they can for for those living with MND. The exhibition was opened by Carl and Kirstine Knox, Chief Executive of the MNDA and was attended by some 40 MPs and Peers. Alisdair Banks talked about life with MND and President, Professor Colin Blakemore, shadow health secretary Andy Burnham MP and Gavin Williamson MP also spoke.
